Steven and Emily got in touch with me in 2021. Steven had popped the questions when he and Emily had gone for a drive to Slemish on Christmas Day. It’s a place that is very special to them both. Slemish mountain which is a very well known beauty spot with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. They were keen to return for their engagement shoot. They also wanted to have their wedding portraits taken at a spot where Slemish was a backdrop for their photos. They were looking for a photographer who was easy going and wouldn’t make them feel awkward in front of the camera. I was delighted that they chose to book with me.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was a church service held in their local church in Buckna. They had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was such a truly personal service that mean’t such a lot to Steven and Emily.

We then went to visit Steven’s Granny at home as she was unable to attend the wedding. A short distance away we went to a location where Steven and Emily had wanted their couple portraits taken. It was a stunning backdrop with Slemish in the background and was reminiscent of the design of their Table Plan.

We then headed back to the hotel were the couple were greeted by their guests.
Reception
The reception was in a private function room at Tullyglass.

Tullyglass Hotel is perfect for couples who want a big party, and not far from the town centre of Ballymena. There’s a good variety of places to have portraits in the gardens. There are plenty of rooms should your guests want to stay over after the party.
The couple had an evening of fun games followed by music that got everyone involved and dancing.

Steven and Emily had their romantic first dance followed by Emily dancing with her Dad, such a beautiful moment.

The couple
Steven wore a grey three piece suit and Emily wore a traditional white gown with full skirt and lace bodice.
They looked really perfect together.
We managed to take a few minutes outside to capture some night time shots as well as a photos with their guests who all shone their phone torches on the couple as they didn’t have an official sparkler exit.

It was a great day with lots of fun, laughter and personal touches. I’m so glad Steven and Emily have their album to look back on to remember their special day. Tullyglass Hotel Wedding – Steven and Emily
